Martin Hallin

About him:

Martin Hallin is a Swedish citizen living in Stockholm, Sweden. He has a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden and has spent all his career working with sales and marketing of equipment for the food industry. For the first 10 years he was working with process equipment for the vegetable oil industry. In 1995 he started to work for Perten Instruments AB in Stockholm. During his time in Perten he has held various positions in both Area Sales Management and Marketing. Since approx. 10 years Martin is Product Manager for the full Rheology range within Perten instruments.

“Small scale assessment of the high temperature processing properties of starches and hydrocolloids in the RVA 4800”

The Rapid Visco Analyser (RVA) is a well-known instrument for measuring characteristics in starches and other material under controlled temperature and shear. With the latest model, RVA 4800, the possibility to run analysis over boiling point, up to 140 ºC, is introduced. The presentation will show some examples how this can be used for different type of samples.
